For the Last many years Brian Woodroffe amongst other things has run the Composite and Dog Trophy for the club. It is not an easy job recruiting players and finding substitutes at the last minutes. We would like to thank Brian Woodroffe for all his hard work. Stan Evans in the Golf shop will now be running with these leagues. The next date for Composite is on the 18 th May so if you are interested in playing please contact Stan.

We would like to congratulate Karmen who gave birth to a Healthy Baby Boy on Friday the 9th May.

NEWS FROM COURSE - Graeme Reeves

The winter season is now upon us, the greens have gone a slight yellowish colour and are running a touch faster then a few months back. Great stuff!

The reason for the warm season grass losing its brilliant green and growing slowly is due to the cooler nights when the soil temperature drops to around 15 degrees.

Golfers will be able to hit the ball further along the fairways and the rough will be not be ‘rough’ and the greens will be easier to putt on, so hoping that your scores will be more to your liking and your handicaps lower.

See you out there …….
